Painter Kristina Alisauskaite in ’100 Painters of tomorrow’ by THAMES & HUDSON

A new book “100 Painters of Tomorrow” authored by writer and curator Kurt Beers and published by Thames & Hudson presents a wide range of exciting new painters from all over the world. Beers together with an international panel selected one hundred artists from more than 4300 applications. The artworks were gathered through the open call submission in order to get a unique diversity of artists.

Lithuanian artist Kristina Alisauskaite was included in the top hundred list. The artist presents her work in solo and group exhibitions all around the world. Her paintings are unique explorations of everyday situations each time creating different atmospheres. Sometimes it is a calm environment that soon transforms into something mysterious and dramatic, or sometimes it is even a sense of oppressive emptiness and tension.

Thames & Hudson is a well-known publishing house for everyone who is interested in art. Established in 1949, it was planned as an idea of ‘museum without walls’ intended for a broad and not necessarily specialist audience. All books are written by recognised academics and scholars but in a lively, jargon-free manner.
